2. General information

We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functional website, our content and our services. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent), (b) (contract and pre-contractual measures), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interests) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Hosting and delivery of the website

This website is delivered via Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This serves the secure, stable and fast delivery of the website and protection against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; data transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR) and additionally on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: Cloudflare privacy policy.

4. Cookies, tracking and fonts

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising and do not use any tracking services. All fonts are loaded locally from our server; no connection is made to Google or other font providers.

5. Contact form

When you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process your details (name, email address, your message and, optionally, company, phone number and requested service) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Your message is delivered to our mailbox via the email service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). Resend processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Transfers to the USA are based on appropriate safeguards, in particular the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We delete your data once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by email to info@square-security.de.

6. Spam protection with Cloudflare Turnstile

To protect our forms (contact and application form) against abuse by automated programs, we use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics is transmitted to Cloudflare to check whether the input comes from a human. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure forms under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. For data transfers to the USA, see section 3.

7. Job applications

If you apply via our application form, we process your details (name, contact details, desired position and type of employment, qualification under Section 34a GewO, driving licence, languages, your message) and the documents you upload in order to review your application and carry out the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into an employment relationship).

Your application is delivered to our mailbox via the email service Resend (see section 5) and is only made available to people involved in the selection process. If you are hired, we continue to process the data for the employment relationship. Otherwise we delete your application documents no later than six months after the application process has ended, unless you have consented to longer storage.

8. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. Section 5 applies accordingly to deletion.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
